It seems like these mags are missing significant profits by intentionally “disincluding” fathers from their editorial decisions. Like many new fathers, I wanted as much information as possible about raising this new entrant to our family. I wanted a thorough discussion of do’s and dont’s, different education theories, stats, specs, hacks, etc. (Like a Road & Track for a baby — what’s the 0-60 on this thing?!).

I subscribed to a couple, and my wife subscribed to some more. After eagerly anticipating the first few issues, I was stunned at the lack of applicable content for males. About the only time dads were mentioned was to advise wives how to trick them into helping with the kids.

Needless to say, we let most of those subscriptions lapse. But that’s when I began to search for blogs…

Yep. Lots of disambiguity out there.

    Nice list, nice thinking.
