Fair Warning: RebelDad.com will be close to all-at-home-dad convention, all-the-time over the next couple of weeks, though I’ll be sure to slip significant non-convention news should any arise.

For starters, I have two questions for who have signed up for the Rebel Dad event next weekend on the wiki: when (midnight Saturday or 7 a.m. Sunday) and where (walking distance or cab trip). Vote in the comments of this post. Only the votes of those signed up on the wiki count. Majority rules.

I’m still flexible with the scheduling.
I’d prefer walking distance, especially if we’re doing it Sunday morning.
If I absolutely MUST vote on a time, I’d take Sunday breakast. Mainly because my religious beliefs center around pancakes and fried pork products.
I’d rather leave Saturday night open for something a bit louder that will most likely be forgotten anyway.

I would prefer Midnight Saturday, but would try early Sunday if it works for everyone else. I can’t guarantee I would be receptive to an early wake up call. Walking distance would be best.

Late Saturday would work well, for me. For those of you who have met my sister, who has joined us in previous events, she has offered to purchase beverages of a social nature should events occur as they did last year up on the “sun deck” of the hotel. Also, I found my flight leaves earlier Sunday than I thought it did.

I would pick Sunday am. I am always up early anyway. Walking distance works. Jeff and I have room for two more in our limo for ten from Ohare to the hotel. Our plane arrives at 1540. Anyone need a lift? Did we mention the complimentary bar in the car? See ya Friday!

PS: RebelDad, is the rumour true that you will have black RD bumper stickers in your possesion when we meet in Chicago?

It seems like almost everyone is up for either Sat or Sun. Might I propose Sat AND Sun? That is, something scheduled for Sunday morning, and think about something else (louder?), to be arranged on the fly, for Saturday night. Regardless, I’m up for Sunday morning. I like the Golden Nugget, but that’s only from driving by. More than that, though, I’m definitely into walking distance. Quality of the chow is less of a concern to me than the chance to hook up for fun with other SAHDs.
