The Dad-o-Sphere Continues to Grow

Those of you who were in Omaha last weekend know that I made a presentation on blogging and assorted other ways to reach out via the Internet, and I made a bold promise, given my recent not-so-impressive history of updates: I’d flag — within 48 hours — any convention guy who started posting. I got in at 8 p.m. last night, so the clock is ticking. I also have a huge backlog of blogs I need to feature, so here is what is going to get integrated into the blogroll:

Good for all the stay-at-home dads out there!!! It is very refreshing to see. My husband stays home and he does a wonderful job. I know you guys can relate to the unique challenges that only a family with a stay-at-home dad have. You said you would put on the blogroll blogs by stay-at-home dads… What about blogs about a family of a stay-at-home dad from the perspective of the working mom? I’ve been a dad for 9 months, and in that time have started reading a lot of dad blogs. I work, and my wife stays home, but I am a very involved dad. I write a blog related to being a father, and I wonder why you are only featuring stay at home dad blogs. The paradigm shift ocurring that is allowing more dad’s to stay at home is awesome, but the stay at home dad sphere seems somewhat cliquish to this working dad.

I think it’s great that dads are starting to blog too. In this way, we can allow ourselves to be familiar with each others’ methods in family rearing. I have two toddler daughters and I’m certainly ready for their teenage-hood. I’m certainly going to need tips on how to handle them. LOL

Im a stay at home dad. I work from home and I can definitely identify with the spirit of your blog. I decided to go my own way more than 10 years ago when we first had the kids. It was a bold (stupid some thought at the time) move but one I have not regretted.

Go dads express yourselves. People often have the mentality of dads as the “non writer” “non blogger” type then but lately this has been junked as dads go successful with their online businesses. Go daddies!
